Rasmussen considered blaming NATO on Libya collapse illogical.
In TV statements he added that turmoil that followed military
intervention in Libya was not responsibility of NATO, and its
intervention then was exemplary. He put the blame on the
international community because it did not follow up the issue
politically.
Rasmussen was NATO Secretary General for four years from 2009 to
2014. He supervised the NATO air campaign in Libya for 8 months, as
it Set off UN Security Resolution on March 19, 2011 and ended in
October of the same year.
