Head of Investigations at Attorney general's Office reviews several issues of interest to public opinion.

Tripoli, 11.02.2016(Lana) Head of Investigations at Attorney
General's Office, Al-Sadiq Al- Saour held Thursday press conference
to explain some issues of interest to public opinion and measures
taken against such issues.
He reviewed at the press conference held at the courts compound
in Tripoli several issues including money laundering or so-called
containers issues through which tens of millions of hard currencies
were smuggled after the attorney general received several files from
Information and Financial Unit at the Central bank of Libya and the
committee set up by the National Audit Bureau to this effect.
Al- Saour said members of the prosecution affiliated to the
Attorney General's Office, and investigation deptment issued scores
of arrest warrants against persons suspected of involvement in
smuggling foreign currency abroad under the disguise of documentary
credits or forged customs declarations.
Regarding imported empty containers, Al- Saour pointed out that
the Attorney General's Office examined 50 containers within Tripoli
ports and apparently were empty and contained no goods claimed to be
imported. In addition to 200 containers in Misrata and Khomas. He
said arrest warrants were issued in all these cases and whoever may
have been suspected of involvement in money laundering and cause
grave damages to public money.
he confirmed that one of the cases were implemented an indeed a
businessman was held and referred to the Attorney general's office
for investigation.
Al-Saour revealed that summons and arrest warrants would approach
whoever may be involved including directors of banks, head of
departments, and credit and whoever may caused squandering of public
money in all institutions and departments.
