GNC Receives Copy of Libyan Civic Law.

Tripoli, 27 August 2105(Lana) A panel of experts, assigned to
review and amend Libyan laws in line with Islamic tenants on
Wednesday handed over, to the General National Congress, a copy of
the Libyan civic law to be voted on.
The Chairman of the committee Dr Ghait Al Fakhri said in press
statements the 1151 article Libyan civic law was thoroughly reviewed,
and 91 articles have been amended in line with the Sharia law.
The committee assigned by the GNC is comprised of jurists Sharia
scholars and researchers from different specialties, Al Fakhri said.
The committee assigned to review and amend the Libyan laws in
accordance with the Sharia law was set up in April 2015 by a virtue
of a decree signed by the GNC President Nuri Abu Sahmain to review
and amend the existing law and have been extended for another 4
months.
