42nd Meeting of OIC Foreign Ministers Kicks off in Kuwait.

Kuwait City, 27 May 2015(Lana) The 42nd meeting of the OIC Foreign Ministers kicked off here on Wednesday under the theme "Joint Vision to Strengthen Tolerance and Reject Terrorism." The conference agenda included discussing endorsement of political, economic, cultural and humanitarian issues in addition to structural issues and the 'decennial action'. Hardships of the Palestinian people and their protracted cause as well as the situation in Libya, Syria and Yemen also feature high on the agenda. The Ministers were also expected to discuss Islamophobia and terrorism, as well as the situation of Muslims in Myanmar, where an ad hoc team will meet on the sidelines of the meeting, to discuss the latest developments there. Developments of peace process in Mali were also to be explored by a similar ad hoc committee. The developments in Somalia and support for the development there were to be discussed in the meeting. The conference agenda also includes discussion of a strategy to combat terrorism for which a special session would be allocated. =Lana=
