An assassination attempt on the life of head of Government of National Salvation.

Tripoli, 27.01.2015 (Lana) An assassination attempt on the
life of head of Government of National Salvation was carried out
Tuesday morning, following an armed attack on Corinthia hotel killing
8 people including four security men and four foreign workers.
In a televised statement, read out by the government spokesman,
the government said " Developments at Corinthia hotel in Tripoli was
an assassination attempt on the life of the Head of Government of
National Salvation, and fingers are pointed to enemies of the
revolution, war criminal Khalifa Hafter and foreign parties behind
him ".
The government offered condolences to families of the victims,
and praised heroic revolutionaries and Ministry of Interior men who
rushed to protect their government and secure the capital.
Hotel security discovered the entry of a suspicious vehicle to
the car park, the same car that targeted a UN building and the
Embassy of sisterly Algeria two weeks ago. Then, the criminals rushed
to the hotel armed with revolvers, machineguns, and hand grenades,
firing against whoever gets in their way of the hotel workers and
residents, the statement explained.
The statement said four security men fallen martyrs, and four
foreigners their nationalities unverified yet were killed.
The statement said this criminal act needed to be condemned by
all countries and international parties and organizations including
the UN mission.
The government considered the attack as signals an important
indication against the backdrop of progress achieved in the security
of the capital and offering of basic services to the citizens, and in
the light of breakthrough made in terms of contacts with the world
governments in the past two days, and after its success in managing
the crisis without budget, and tackling the main administrative,
financial and political corruption.
The government renewed in its statement its resolve to proceed
with the same serious pace in the 17th February correctionist
movement, in loyalty to the martyrs and out of belief of its just
cause.
