Project for Upgrading Healthcare Services Launched.

Tripoli, 14 March 2018(Lana) An ambitious project was launched in Tripoli on Tuesday for upgrading healthcare services in Libya, in collaboration with the Government of the United Kingdom and the World Health Organisation 'WHO'. The United Kingdom has undertaken to bear the financial costs of the project in along with WHO, which are estimated at 1.8 million Euros, the Director of Health Services Office Ridha Shouta said. Shouta added the project would be executed within 24 months starting from today at the level of six health centres as a start, before covering other centres across the country. The project aims to offer high quality training on planning and health services provision for 33 doctors, 600 nurses and 100 health staff, he said. What health care teams need is training and the sector will be upgraded significantly, Shouta said. =Lana=
