Minister of Interior meets British ambassador to Libya.

Tripoli, 21 February 2018 (Lana) GNA Minister of Interior; Brig Abdusalam Ashur met Wednesday in Tripoli with the new British ambassador to Libya, Frank Baker. The meeting held at the ministry focused on bilateral relations especially in security fields. The minister stressed that Britain has prominent role by supporting the GNA government, its logistic and security support at security and technical levels. He also said that the MoI needs direct international support by reviving work of the police academy, training of security personnel; support of criminal investigations and capacity building of security ministries. On his part, the British ambassador expressed readiness to offer all necessary resources, and aspire for constructive cooperation with the GNA in its political and economic support and addressing all challenges facing Libya in particular and the region in general. =Lana=
