Nigerian Foreign Minister: Libya in Combating Illegal Migration Has Shown Strong Will and Transparency.

Tripoli, 7 January 2018(Lana) Two Nigerian Cabinet Ministers Have renewed their thanks and gratitude for good reception they were accorded during visit they recently made to Libya to inspect migrants centre. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Expatriate Affairs have said that Libya had proved to be transparent and straightforward vis a vis treatment of the migrants which convinced some of them to seek voluntary return to their homelands. This came at a press conference the Ministers held here along with the Libyan Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Lutfi Al Mogherbi. The Minister of Expatriate Affairs said Libya in combating illegal migration has shown strong will and transparency despite the fact that there are huge number of illegal migrants in the country. The Minister called on international media to visit the detention camps in Libya to get a firsthand account of what is going on inside these camps, just to know that there was no basis for what had been reported by some media organs about bad treatment of illegal migrants in these camps. =Lana=s
