US President Congratulates Libyan People on Independence Day.

Tripoli, 27 December 2017(Lana) US President Donald Trump has congratulated Libyan people on the 66th anniversary of Independence Day. In a message to the President of the Presidency Council Fayez Al Serraj, Trump said the United Sates stands on the side of the people of Libya to overcome the legacy of 40 years of dictatorship, build their own institutions, and restore stability in the country. The Political Agreement, signed two years ago was a milestone on the road to end division and create a prosperous future for the Libyan people, Trump said noting that the Agreement remained the only framework to bring about a political solution to the crisis. He renewed US unshakable support for the Government of National Accord to achieve Political reconciliation. =Lana=
