Al Serraj Appeals to Al Kabir and Al Hebri to Hold Joint Meeting to Resolve Crisis.

Tripoli, 23 November 2017(Lana) The President of the Presidency Council of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al Serraj has appealed to the Governor of the central bank in Tripoli Al Sidiq Al Kabir and the head of Al Beidha-based central bank Ali Al Hebri to meet urgently to find a solution to the country's financial crisis. Al Serraj urged Al Kabir and Al Hebri to rise above their personal differences; to hold a joint meeting under the patronage of the Presidency Council, in a bid to hammer a solution to the soaring economic and financial problems the country faced namely addressing the liquidity problem and the Libyan currency exchange rate. Introducing such measures could solve the problem, restore confidence in the banking system and alleviate the suffering of the citizens, Al Serraj said in a statement yesterday. Several nations have gone through acute problems, but nonetheless their central banks managed to put in place rational monetary decisions and that's what we expect from our central bank, Al Serraj said. =Lana=
