Al Serraj Meets Italian Premier.

Rome, 21 March 2017(Lana) The President of the Presidency Council
of the Government of National Accord Fayez Al Serraj on Monday met in
the Italian capital, Prime Minister Paolo Gentelone with whom he
discussed a number of issues of common interest.
Developments in Libya and Al Serraj's vision to get Libya out of
its crisis, as well as the problem of migration were discussed during
the talks.
The talks also dealt with the executive steps that have been
taken, to carry out joint projects including investments in coastal
economic and touristic projects, which could curb trafficking and
illegal migration.
The Italian Prime Minister has announced that the Italian Embassy
in Tripoli would start granting entry visas to Libyan nationals from
April 2.
Italian companies would soon return to work in Libya in
accordance with a timeframe to be set by specialists in both
countries, he said.
Al Serraj expressed his appreciation of what he termed the
positive spirit that marked the talks, highlighting the support Italy
is offering to stability in the country.
Al Serraj arrived in Rome earlier for an Italian-hosted
conference on illegal migration from Libya.
