President of PC of GNA meets US Commander of Africom.

Stuttgart, 28.08.2016(Lana) President of Presidency Council (PC) of
GNA, Fayez Saraj met US Commander of Africom and US Special envoy to
Libya.
The meeting held in Stuttgart. Germany, in the presence of chairman
of Security Arrangements Committee, Abdulrahman Al Tawial and
Political Advisor to President of the Council Staff Taher Sunni.
They addressed latest political, security and military developments
and US support to Libya.
The talks also covered strategic options for future of Libya after
liberation of Serte, especially partnership between the two countries
to combat terrorism, and desire of GNA to obtain US assistance to
develop the military defensive capabilities of Libyan armed forces
and develop military cooperation to include training, and exchange of
information.
President of PC and members of the delegation were briefed at Africom
headquarters in Germany on latest developments of air strikes
requested by the presidency council in support of its forces to
liberate Serte from Da'esh.
The Us officials reiterated their support to PC and GNA.
For his part Saraj thanked the USA for its commitment to support the
GNA in its fight against Da'esh, and the opportunity to see work of
Africom and the discussion of the support of the political and
security approach to realize security and stability to develop a
common future vision for security and stability in Libya.
