'Woman rights in Libyan constitution' workshop kicked off.

Tripoli, 23.05.2016(Lana) " Why am I ' organization hosted Monday
a workshop on 'Woman rights in Libyan constitution' with the theme;
"Your eye on your constitution'.
The workshop attended by academics, lawyers and University of
Tripoli scholars and a host of activists in human rights and several
civil society organizations in Tripoli.
Mrs. Zuha al-Menfi President of the Organization said the
workshop discussed and analyzed citizenship and women rights in
Libyan constitution and unfairness of basic rights of Libyan women
married to foreigners.
In a statement to Lana, she underlined that the workshop
discussed all unapplied laws related to granting nationality to the
off spring of Libyan women married to non-libyans, as well as social
and psychological impact of depriving them this right.
The workshop also discussed article 2 related to language and
identity clarifying that Libya has diverse cultural components such
as Amazigh, Taurag and Tabwi.
